Hi All,
Bit of an odd question really - One of the members on here purchased a set of NC21 carbs off me last week - they were sold without carb slides, as they are the dropped edge ones which are in my track carbs for the NC30. We didn't think this would be an issue, as he was going to use his slides in the carbs.
He has received the carbs however, and his slides don't fit, which is a little confusing. Were there a couple of variations in the carbs over the years, or has it actually turned out that my old '21 had NC24 carbs fitted?
Thanks
Dale

Re: NC21 carb slides
In what way dont they fit? too wide or too long?
NC21 carbs dont have the rubber velcocity stacks on them which should make it easier for you to identify carbs.

Re: NC21 carb slides
Hi Neo,
You legend - they must be NC24 carbs then, as they have the rubber velocity stacks - It seems that the old '21 was definitely a piecemeal of 21 and 24 parts before it was stripped.
I'll speak to him and find out exactly what the issue is, I was at Donington this weekend, so havent been able to do much so far

Re: NC21 carb slides
OK, a little more info for you - the slides from his carbs are in fact narrower than the ones that came out - it sounds like the diaphragm is different too.
Dont suppose you happen to have a spare set of '30 slides? I know they will definitely fit
