HI guys,

This is not my guide, I simply reformatted it for easier viewing and better understanding. For those of us that don't always manage to find the info on page 14 of a thread haha

Original by Mob Rules, Page 14 of viper_biker's NC30 guide.

I would suggest reading the NC30 guide in full before starting, and simply referring to this once you have a good understanding of what needs to be done.

I ACCEPT NO CREDIT NOR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THIS

Admin to delete if this is unnecessary of course :peace:

Valve Clearances

Remove fuel tank, airbox, radiator and carbs (if space is required). Also loosen the Reg/Rec holder and front coils and move them out of the way. Make a note of any wires you disconnect for easy re-assembly.

Line up the following two marks:

Now adjust the valves on cylinder number 1.
Factory tolerances are: Inlet: 0.11 – 0.15mm and Outlet: 0.18 – 0.22
Recommended settings for your inlet valves are 0.13mm and outlet 0.20mm. Nicely in the middle.
Line up the following marks for cylinder number 3:
Set your camshaft to 270deg
To do the clearances on the number 2 cylinder line up the T 2 mark on the crank and set the cam to 0deg.

To do the clearances on the number 4 cylinder line up the T 4 mark on the crank and set the cam to 270deg.

Please note: This guide was original posted by Mob Rules as stated above. I simply reworded it for (hopefully) better understanding.

PDF available if anyone wants it.
