NC30 - Ignition and "dash" lettering
The lettering around the ignition switch has been rubbed off on my bike (the plastic covering is actually broken but luckily low enough down that you dont see it when it is fitted to the bike), the lettering for the "turn" "neu-tral" "oil" etc idiot lights is also in bad shape. How do I repaint this or what sort of company would be able to assist (tried a company that makes badges but they couldnt help) - thanks

You could try Letraset

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Cool - found the suggestion re painting with Humbrol on the ignition (I have Tamiya model paint from the 1/10 scale ducati I built
), let it run into the letters, wiped off most of it and then with 1200 grit sand paper got rid of the residue - worked pretty nicely. The lettering on the "dash" is more of an issue, so difficult to paint it accurately.... going to down to the hobby or stationery shop to see if i can get a white fineliner

Cool - took a second crack at it - used a paint marker (looks like a permanent marker), used it to redo the ignition switch and then used car paint scratch remover which took the excess paint off perfectly. Then the dash... I put a needle in a cork and using my tamiya paints repainted the letters, its not perfect but from a normal distance its pretty good... Hopefully that helps the next person.

I used the model paint with a cotton bud, dab it in the lettering and wipe over with a tissue...no need for wet n dry but whatever works best for you

Same method works for the choke and the petrol tap....
