NC29 Rear Wheel onto NC23?

Post by milbo1990 » Fri Mar 29, 2013 4:46 pm

Hi,

This is purely for aesthetic reasons; but does anyone know if it's a straight swap to fit an NC29 rear wheel to an NC23 using the NC23 swing arm?

Would I need to make alterations to the caliper mount?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan.

Yes,it's a straight swap,aslong as you have the disc,sprocket carrier/sprocket and spacers.
On the inside of the caliper bracket,up where the disc is to slide in,there are 2 casting lugs that can foul when fitting the on said disc(basically making a simple fitting job a real b*^#h)
File them smooth.
Your bike will now sit lower in the rear, won't handle as well,do get hold of Graeme France to get the 600 shock conversion bits at the same time.as his kit tried and tested, both with setting proper ride height.and bike handling.

Or fit an Ohlins like we did , great results and not too expensive really.

I'm still yet to test that setup...
