Nc30 master cylinder help!!
Hi all reference my previous post about the master cylinder kit, need some information, Honda supply the correct kit at £32+ vat all the kits on eBay seem to be 12.7x48 where as the correct kit is 14x 50.5 (Honda) has anyone bought and fitted the correct kit. Doing my head in now really close to getting bike road ready and this is really holding me back. Cheers phil

Re: Nc30 master cylinder help!!
Go and actualy have a physical look at your master cylinder and the right size will be cast on the cylinder itself.
I bought an master cylinder overhaul kit from Graeme france a while back amongst a load of other bits and it was (i think) 5/8" or something like that. Graeme told me that Honda, for some reason, around about 91 swapped from using the 5/8" master cylider to a 14mm and unfortunately they look the same appart from the size being stamped on the casing. if you use the wrong kit - funny old thing, it won't work properly.
I got home and checked and both mine were 14's so that has gone back to Graeme to swap it.
Like so...(yes I know this is a rear master cylinder, but the same applies)

Re: Nc30 master cylinder help!!
They are both 14mm front cylinders but for some reason the kits available are 12.7mm. Honda still supply the kit in the correct size which is 14mm x 50.5mm but retails at £36+vat!!!
