Valve stem seals part no's problem

Just trying to buy all 16 valve stem seals from david silvers but when i search the Ex valve seals part number no item is found. The inlet valves are still listed as normal which seems strange, i have checked CMSNL and they have both part numbers listed and available, anybody know what the problem could be?

Edit: Decided to get them from CMSNL after i compared the prices with David silvers and the prices where as near as makes no difference, and ordering from cms is a much easier system then constantly finding part no's and re-typing them.

I bought them all from DS earlier this year. I can dig out the part no's of what I ordered, but it seems like you are sorted now anyways

@ speedy i didnt see those pattern ones, but i only wanted to go for genuine parts anyway.

Yea no worries Luke, i did get a bit worried that the Exhaust valve seals where NLA but it seems that CMS have got quite a few in at least.

Wait and see with CMS. Their stock list just tells you they can get the stuff, not that they have it. My carb seals took five or six weeks!

Oh bugger i hope they can get them to me quicker than that, i did assume that they would have them in stock but we will have to see i suppose.

You might want to try Powersportsplus USA, ordered 16 valve stem seals (roughly $6 ea), 2 head gaskets ($26 ea) and 4 ring sets ($17 ea) on 20/12 and all dispatched 26/12. Was assured that all parts OEM, can confirm same when the stuff arrives. Cost $270 AUS including $45 freight. Just a few spares for future rebuilt before they all become obsolete and/or really expensive.

I did have a look at powersports website when it was posted up in an old thread, the price is very good for genuine parts but im not sure how much extra would get lumped ontop for shipping and if there would be any duty to be paid on it. Also time is quite a factor as i want to have the bike finished by April, however if CMS take as long as speedy says they could then im not holding out much hope :(

Update on powersportsplus. First order has arrived, took 10 days over christmas/new year so cannot complain. All parts OEM Honda as ordered and at price quoted on web site. Postage was $36 for $220 worth of goods.

Have another order on the way as found I can get OEM front mud guard stays for $6 from them, even though I cannot find a US import bike that uses them, go figure. Second order includes an OEM RC30 rear sprocket for $46 (NC30 P/N the same), JT front sprocket for $17 and EK525 X ring chain for $85. Postage should be around $36 again.

There's a table on Powersports website that tells you the postage rates. They're one of those annoying places that charge shipping by value rather than by weight. One thing that really annoys me. If I buy a load of light but expensive bits from DSS, it'll cost £5.75 to ship. If I buy one bit that weighs ten times what the theoretical light but expensive bits cost, it'll cost £1.95 to ship if it's less than £20 ex VAT. So, you can end up with a 50p part costing you almost £4 extra. Which is why if I order stuff that's less than twice the threshold for extra shipping, I split it into two orders....

You may or may not get duty depending on how much you order from outside the EU zone. According to the online duty calculator, you'll pay 3.7% on the base price of the goods including the shipping and insurance cost (note that this is the rate for motorcycle parts, all things have different rates and the HMRC apparently has over 15000 different classifications for goods!). However, it also says that the minimum value that will attract this charge is £135. Not only that, but a duty charge that would be less than £9 is waived. After the duty has been added, or waived, VAT at the full UK rate is added. It is quite common for the carrier to do this on your behalf 'so you get the goods quicker'. What they really mean is so that they can charge you often more than the duty and VAT would have cost had you been given the option to pay it yourself! Their fee is often £15-20, which is a joke, IMHO.

Of course, if you buy from CMS, or anyone else inside the EU, you pay VAT at the point of purchase, so all you need to worry about is what exchange rate your card company will give you, and if they charge for the conversion. In my case, my Halifax credit card doesn't charge for currency, and gets a very good rate of exchange, it was literally a few pence different to what I calculated at xe.com/ucc
