Quickshifter Instal Questions
Anyone have an example of how they wired up their quickshifter on their NC35/NC30? I'm trying to decide what's easiest. Ideally, I'd like to hack up my harness as little as possible. Thinking of using the side stand switch versus the wiring going to the coils, but might just do it there.

Re: Quickshifter Instal Questions
I was curious about quickshifters, what type would you need for a nc, how difficult would it be to fit and what are the benefits of fitting one?

Re: Quickshifter Instal Questions
Depends totally on which type you want to fit I guess?
What is the crack with yours Mr Jones?
Have you any details of the unit and the wiring it needs?
In my personal opinion, I don't think that minimising the interruption of the delivery of 65bhp is going to make as much difference in keeping 180+ bhp down to the ground? Be good to know how people like these?
@ Aly? YOu got one mate?

Iwas just looking at them on ebay, what's the difference between them and what type is suitable for a nc? I doubt that I need one but I'm curious.

Re: Quickshifter Instal Questions
Mine is a Starlane Power Shift VX. It's purely for fun and not necessary in the slightest. I got it on eBay for a super cheap price, so figured it was worth getting just to have some fun. I had one (Battleshifter) on my RS125 and loved it. Once you try one on the track you find it's pretty cool. The beauty of the Starlane is that it works with up and down shifts. This one seems pretty easy to wire in, but just wanted to know others installations wrt where they tied it into their harness. I was also thinking of wiring in an on/off switch, but want to get it working first.CMSMJ1 wrote:Depends totally on which type you want to fit I guess?

Re: Quickshifter Instal Questions
I have a Starlane shifter for my Ducati. I wired it into the sidestand switch. Just like you, I didn't want to hack up my harness, so I went to my mate who is a Ducati service tech and he gave me another AMP connector for the sidestand switch. Now I just unplug the sidestand switch and plug in the quickshifter when I want to use it.

Ah, nice. Good to hear. Can you just connect both wires off the quickshifter to the sidestand's power? Got a picture you could put up of the connection or wiring diagram?vfrman wrote:I have a Starlane shifter for my Ducati. I wired it into the sidestand switch.
