I have a gsxr shock if you can find out if it fits and how. It came with a box of bits when I bought a project bike but I have an s1000 on to go on now. If you want it you can have it for a tenner plus p&p.

I'm pretty sure that an Aprilia RS250 shock is a popular upgrade, they add a little ride height I think. If I was you though I would just get a good used NC30 shock and get it serviced, or spend money on an aftermarket shock designed for the job. That way the damping and spring will be right for you and the bike, shocks from other bikes do not always work properly even if the fit due to compression ratio's etc.

I also have spare original with and without remote reservoir if you want to send it away for servicing and still use the bike.

want to update the shock rather than use the original setup. The bmw shock seems to work well with an uprated spring but works out a bit pricey. Ive read a cbr600rr shock fits but you have to modify battery box and change battery to a smaller one but dont really want to do that.
Does an rs250 shock fit with no mods?

thanks hunter but was wanting to get away from this whole remote reservoir set up and have something a bit more modern. might just have to go for a secondhand bm one.
