look in the carbuterrtor guide that is pinned as a sticky thread, it has all the information you will need.

the 1st topic in the V4 workshop section at the top.

DO NOT post the same question in there or be so lazy.

READ the thread, it has a step by step guide in there on exactly what jets go where and what sizes you need.

There a hint there then, return your airbox back to stock. Theres a reason why modding the airbox isnt covered, it does nothing but cause problems.

Any bike or car needs air to breath. All I've done is remove the front flap so it can take cool air in. Can't see what problems that would cause. Anyway thanks for the help, this site is so over rated. With everythin I've posted not one person has given any advise that was worth 2pennys

That's fine, it sounds like we could without jumped up pricks like you around anyways. You've been given sound advice by people that actually know something about how these v4's work but you seem to know better so carry on as you are.

If you had even bothered to read up on the extensive intonation this over rated site holds regarding carb and airbox setup then I very much you would even need to ask these questions. Good luck with it, I somehow feel your going to need it.

Telling you to return the airbox to standard was worth more than 2 pennies.

Based upon your argument that vehicles need to breathe I assume that you are under the impression the stock snorkel is limiting?

Putting in larger jets, even with an open airbox will not yield much if any power increase. The bikes were designed to produce 59hp. Not like other vehicles that were downtuned from the factory by restricting the airbox and jetting.

Unlimited air is not the only issue, the bike needs a stable air at the right velocity, the snorkel helps to control the air.

Open air boxed carbs require massive jetting changes and almost all bikes with no snorkel / modified airbox run like shit and even with lots of dyno time struggle to become good.

With a stock airbox and the settings in Cammo's guide you won't go far wrong.

The site isn't a public help service, it's a community of knowledge. Joining up with a handful of posts and asking for help with your non standard setup then getting pissed off isn't the way to behave.

Take it to your local mechanics and ask them same question, i'm sure they will be happy to help, for a fee.

Lol, in that case chap you can always use the "back" button and not come back. We don't charge per visit.

Do you think Honda put the flap in because they were bored ? or just wanted to waste money, so much so they use it on the RC30 too - they got that wrong again too i guess ? :stupid:
