Is the rear hub, axle, brake caliper brackets the same? Wanting to know as theres a RS250 rear caliper conversion available for the NSR so if there the same then it should fit the NC30/5 too.

Rear caliper bracket for 30 and 35 are utterly different on account of a lack of the provision for fitting the torque arm thingy on the 35.

Interestingly, according to this parts list http://www.rscycles.com/images/PDF/parts-books/MC28.pdf the NC35 and MC28 share the same rear brake setup down to the last little part.

Cheers speedy, i didnt take the torque arm into account. If i do it i will be doing the conversion on a NC30 so i guess that could be a problem as the MC28 doesnt have the torque arm setup like the 30. Will have to look into this a bit further i think.

Isn't the actual caliper the same though? Part numbers for the assemblies differ, but all the pieces match where they are listed in the same manner (for some reason, the seals are a set for one, but inner and outer for the other, same thing with the pads). And the rear hub is the same, so you may possibly find that if you aren't running the torque arm it fits. Or quite possibly not. I'm guessing it would be a very expensive trial and error process!

Calipers are the same on 30's and 35's its just the 35 incorporates the torque arm in the caliper bracket (i think). I wonder if i used a 35 caliper bracket on the 30 swingarm i could then do away with the 30 torque arm gubbins? Which in theory(in my head anyway) would allow me to use the MC28's RS250 conversion kit.

This is a lot of headache for little bit of weight loss
