Battery terminals

Another stupid question as usual. The thread on the standard battery types used on NCs is M6, isn't it?

Most batteries have M6 bolts. I'm pretty sure the YTX7s do

Yeah m6 as I had to use longer ones to add a few extra wires.

Ta. I'm going to get some half decent ring terminals for a direct feed from the reg/rec, but didn't want to end up with ones with the wrong size hole! Most of the crimp ones look a bit flimsy to me. The length of the bolt is only an issue if you don't raise the little captive block in the connector. What a silly bloody arrangement that is - my bolts are about a fag paper too short, so it's blind luck if they pick up or not unless you stick something under the blocks. Might invest in new ones anyway. As I understand it, you should use bolts specifically made for the purpose, as standard ones will corrode due to the the charging process, or is that just a ploy to sell expensive bolts?

If I end up replacing terminal bolts, I use brass ones.
