Oil on spark plugs

Post by Chop Shop » Tue Oct 23, 2012 4:50 am

Hi All,

Just a quick one, i noticed some oil on the spark plugs last weekend when checking the plugs. its an nc30, bike has just had a few things done like full system and bigger jets. it runs better than ever but just wanted to check if this small amount of oil is something to worry about.

its done 80,000 km so i know this is probably normal wear, just that ill be doing a track day in the hottest part of the year in Australia so want to make sure she is sweet before i go thrashing the hell out of it.

any advice on the severity of this issue appreciated.

cheers,

It's pretty normal to be honest mate, make sure you have fresh good oil in there and thrash away!

Which track are you doing?

Eastern Creek 23rd December. Haven't been out on a VFR for years so this is going to be great fun.

Will have fresh fluids in it the night before.

Cheers,
