Was losing a quite a bit of oil. Checked all the usual places. Then found this.

I guess it could be ground out and welded? There's a clutch cover on eBay right now but it's £65, tatty, and the seller has refused three offers on it, so they obviously think it's silly season. And it's black (I thought all NC30s had black covers?). I had one cracked when I got punted off my NC35 some years back, but it was multiple cracks and I found one on eBay for peanuts.

This is an RVF cover on a VFR. My bike has a strange history of abuse it seems.
What sorta money is in a side casing?

Geoff33 may be able to help out, he usually has a stash of parts or putting a wanted ad in the 'for sale/wanted' section might strike lucky.
Hope you get it sorted without going through E-Bay

Had a feeling it might be. I think that answers my question on another thread of whether or not the extra height of the VFR clutch plate stack would interfere with an RVF clutch cover. I've never been 100% certain it was only the finish that was the difference between the two....
A brand new RVF one from DSS is a whisker over £200.

I've got a leak too but this one is in my wallet

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
