False Neutral

Post by punchsponge » Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:37 am

Just a quick note - a shot in the dark really - concerning a false neutral on my CBR400RR that I hit three times during hard upshifts between 5th and 6th at the track yesterday. Yes, yes, yes - positive upshifts, I know. But what is this rumor that chain tension can affect false neutrals? Can someone explain this to me? Clutch is new and strong. Any other explanation besides worn dogs, bent forks or linkage slack? Of course, thanks for your time! JE

Thanks; that makes sense. I think I was just reluctant to face it... :)
