NC35 Goodridge Lines not fitting right

Post by chuchu20 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 3:09 pm

Hey guys

Received a set of Goodridge lines race front and rear today.

Trying to install my rear and finding a gap between the line and banjo bolt. From my understanding there should be a crush washer between all lines and banjo bolts. In the kit how ever only 3 crash washers were included.

Where the line joins the to the caliper my view is it should be Line -> crash washer 1 -> bolt -> crash washer 2 -> caliper.

I am finding that there is a significant gap around washer 1. Could this be because i am not tightening it enough? I can fit 2 washers in that gap, should i be?

There were only 3 washers included in the rear kit is this also correct, seems there should be four, two for the join to the MC and two for the joining to the caliper.

Thanks for your help. hope i am clear with what i am trying to say

From memory they have a tapered joint at the line near the caliper?

You don't need a crush washer at the tapered joint.

Two crush washers up at the master cylinder, and one down at the caliper.

P.s. Sorry, but I can't help with the brake problem; it's been a long while since I done mine.
