nc23 headlight setup

Hi all,

Pretty simple question but i have no reference to go by to work it out! Ive checked the haynes and theres nothing on it and cannot recall seeing another nc23 with its lights on at least!

Off in for the bikes first MOT in 4 years after building it up this year.

The sidelights work completely fine

when i go to dipped beam the right light is dipped and the left light is on sidelight

then when i switch to full beam both lights are full beam.

Is this correct? it just seemed strange that the right light was the only one on dipped??

Cheers for any help!

Sounds like your dipped beam on the left hand bulb is popped, get a new bulb for it should sort it out ;)

Any recommendations for headlight bulbs? already got LED's in the sidelights so may go for something similar.

Wouldnt bother with led headlights, if you want to go away from original fit a hid kit but if its not done right it can burn out fuses and light controls.
I would just get another set of original bulbs mate but with using uk bulbs you might need to do the low beam relay mod or it will eventually burn out your light controls.
GF does original http://www.gfracinguk.com/headlamp-bulb ... -p-14.html

link for the relay mod, i still need to do it on mine

Problem with HID is that unless you fit complete headlamp units, it will be an MOT failure. All aftermarket kits that don't include the reflector assembly are illegal for road use in the UK. I've never seen any for sale for any 400s, or anything pre about 1996 for that matter.
