Strange findings in RVF carbs
Stripped the carbs down on my project RVF today and found a couple of odd things,
First up the jet
Marked 107 and has 3 holes!
And the needle
Could be factory pro but ive never seen one before so i dont know, aswell as the circlip adjustment it also has a kind of threaded bit on the end of the needle. It also still had the 0.5mm washer fitted, i didnt think you still used them with adjustable needles?????

Re: Strange findings in RVF carbs
looks like they do the kit for most of the 400 range. wonder what the increase is like on the 23 and 29??
Yakama any ideas?

Re: Strange findings in RVF carbs
Mark (CMSMJ1) wasn't able to get the kit to perform on his nc30 carbs.
I've had a couple of sets pass through my hands but never bothered trying to use them (think I donated them to members actually).
I personally think it's just marketing bs...

No idea, I think Parus may have had a set for his NC29 so perhaps he may know?petrolhead19 wrote:looks like they do the kit for most of the 400 range. wonder what the increase is like on the 23 and 29??

I have thought about ordering one for the NC23 to try out but they are so expensive!

Re: Strange findings in RVF carbs
Im gunna give this kit a go once ive cleaned the carbs up yet i feel the jet maybe a touch on the small side for a full system and looking at the diagrams the jet and needle work together so fitted a larger std jet is not an option.
Going by these instructions would i be right to assume that you leave the STD 0.5mm needle washer in place?
