Post by leithncbr400 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:02 am

Can anyone let me know if a clutch cover from a Nc 23 will fit and function on a Nc 29 rrl. Or if some one has a NC29 Clutch cover for sale at a resonable price i would be interested. Cheers

I have seen an nc29 with an nc23 clutch cover at my local bike meet so it must be ok. In theory I cant see any difference but not certain as I have not tried it. There will be someone who will know for sure.

If it helps, cb-1 and cb400sf clutch covers will also fit and work.
CBR600f1 covers look similar and fit, but have a bigger alternator so won't work. DAMHIKT.

after removing the damaged cover off the nc 29 i held it up against the side of my nc 23 and their not even close so i glad i never purchased on of those.

My bad. Am/was pretty sure I'd seen both fitted to a CB-1 (nc27) so thought they'd be the same.

Were you comparing to nc23 tri arm or nc23 aero? Aero has a different alternator more like the 600f1 so maybe I'm not totally losing my marbles yet.

I also apologise for misleading you. Very odd though that i deffo seen what was a clutch cover that resembled a 23s style with the ribbed cover. Wonders where it came from?

You are thinking of the generator side which a 23 case will fit a 29.
