Hi all as per advice from good people on here i have brought the rick oliver fork upgrade kit got a 89 vfr track bike with preload and damping adjustment on the forks, was going to have the local garage rebuild them for me......what do you think is it worth me having a crack?? or is it one of those jobs where im likely to waste loads of hours and possibly break something? watched a few videos on line but a step by step guide if anyone knows of one could spur me into having a go?? any advice welcomed as always guys

Rick usually includes clear step by step instructions in these kits follow them and it's dead easy to do.

if you dont feel confident your self,(it CAN BE straight forward unless you hit unseen problems like stuck bushes etc) removing the forks from the bike and taking them to a local garage will save you alot of dollor than riding the bike in and them having to take them off too.

Just strip and rebuild one leg at a time.

where are you Pete, let someone on here show you how, then you learn, buy them a few beers and you've learnt much more then paying a dealer, I'd willing you show you how if you were local, i'm sure others would too
