Suspension again

Post by wambam87 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 8:18 pm

Hi guys ,

Recently now the bike is up and running ( like a dream ) , Ive been pushing it a little more , but ive started to bottom out the suspension under braking and if i hit larger bumps in the road.
Ive heard / read about the rick oliver kit and have emailed him ( as i weigh 90kg's hes said he can source some rellevant springs for me) but would it be worth pulling apart the forks to see if ive got any oil in em at all. As i can brake and brake then all of a sudden they just bottom out? Also , ive wound the pre-load in till theres 2 notches showing and 7 clicks round on the rebound.

Do i have poorly forks ?

Any help would rock

Rick sourced me some 90kg front springs with his kit... The front end is now in a different place !
My bike is used for the track...for sag set up you only need a couple of turns of preload... I still get plenty of travel too...just throw on a couple of cable ties and see where you are at.
I used 10W oil... but damping is up to you & the way you ride...If you can't get it right just start mixing !!
While those forks are off put new seals & bushes in !
