superfour brake trouble

I got my bike in summer last year I recently tried to take my calipers off but they wont come off ...... it looks like the disks are worn and have got a lip around the edge ...... anyone got any pointers on how to get the calipers off

So you'll be replacing the discs I take it? In that case, remove the caliper mounting bolts and use a nylon mallet to firmly tap the caliper. Tap in the middle over the piston housing. That should push the pistons in enough to remove the calipers.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
