Inspection plug

Post by paddy_nc29 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 11:40 pm

My inspection plug has rounded off (the big one used to uncover the 17mm nut to turn the engine over), I managed to get the small one off with heat and the like what covers my timing marks.

Is there anywhere I can purchase/buy a new inspection plug? The NC29's don't have a nut to unscrew the plug (NC23's do?), its a 10MM allen head which is prone to rounding off. Does the NC23 plug fit a 1991 NC29?

As a long shot, will these fit (look very similar)... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ZETA-ENGINE-P ... 7381552157

I think you should by them and see if they fit then we can all get some??

Just looked on the crf fiche
7 90087-KW3-000 CAP (30MM) $11.94

On the nc29 fiche:
Make: Honda
OEM#: 90087-MR1-000 Product#: 90087MR1000 CAP (30MM)

Same part numbers and size so id say they'd fit. Rock on :o

Yeah probably right there. But if you want some colour ,maybe to match blue hoses or what ever then would be quite cool. 8-)
