Hey all, I've a NC29 and went to start her today and even though she's kept in the garage it's pretty damn cold out and it needed the choke to be applied. I was unable to pull the choke out even a little bit and almost feared breaking the cable! Any ideas of where or what to do to free it? Regards Rano.

could only be two things, either the cable seized or the parts on the carb are stuck. When last did you use the choke?

Sounds like you will have to get under the tank a bit

Try to release the cable and spray some lube down it , that way if its just stuck it will free up a bit before you have to give it a good thumping to make it move.

I may do a guide on cable change tonight...mine did that and it was rubbed in one place even it was so old so i've got a new one

Hi All, I decided to remove the tank surprisingly easy then the air box also not a problem. Turned out to be the cable having corroded inside the cable sheathing so replaced it with a complete new cable. Easy job and glad I had a stab at it! Thanks for comments! Rand.

Whenever I change cables I tape the new one to the end of the old one then pull it through. That way you know it has gone through the exact same routing as the one that has come out
