LONG preamble here, go no further if easily bored!
I remember several years ago seeing inserts that you fitted in line on your HT leads that were meant to improve the spark at the plug. The idea, (implausible to me) is that the spark had to jump a gap inside the insert on its way to the plug, somehow resulting in a mighty spark and burn in the combustion chamber.
I've always thought it was a crock of horse****, HOWEVER, recently, my 125cc rev and go scooter has been running markedly better than before, better throttle response, everything. That is until it stopped running altogether because the plug cap fell off the plug. I can only assume it has been like that for a few weeks. Once i clicked it back on, it ran ok but lost the crispness that it had prior to it falling off completely.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Cheers,
Mike

Re: H T Lead mod?
from what you've said, it sounds like a mighty load of shit. a genuine break in the ht lead will not cause it to run better, infact it probably wont run at all
