NC30 push start one click but doesn't turn the engine
Battery is is charged, and I can easily pushstart the bike but when I press the start button there is a single click and nothing else. I believe it's a problem around the starter motor. Do you know what this is and how to fix it?

Relay could be stuck, starter motor could be jammed.
Do the lights go dim when you get the click?
You can easily remove the starter motor, make sure it's earthed and hit the stater switch and see if the starter motor spins.

Have you checked all the fuses and the wiring to the starter? As Neosophist said try removing the starter but with it still wired up and earthed see if it spins off the bike, if it doesn't you've found your problem.

Yes teh lights go dim so it is pulling power. What tools do I need for removing the starter?

As others have suggested have you checked the wiring from the battery to the starter motor, worth a try before pulling the starter motor. A poor connection at any point in the wiring or a dud starter relay, bad contacts, will stop the starter motor from running. What voltage do you measure on the output of the starter relay when you press the start button.

Had the same problem a while back, it was corrosion on the solenoid connection

If I tap the starter motor cover then it starts so it must be the motor. Where is the solenoid on an nc30, I don't see it on the microfiche?

Ah you mean the starter relay right? I thought you meant the starter clutch solenoid.
