Hi guys.
I'm hoping some of you kind and knowledgeable v4 experts can advise an l4 idiot about potential front brake master cylinders.
I found some very cheap and reasonable NC35 calipers on ebay to fit onto my NC29. I would like to know what other master cylinders will match to these calipers so I have more to choose from, I beleive the NC35 has a 14mm diameter m/c. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Any pointers welcome.
Doug
PS
If anyone knows where I can get hold of custom brackets for the above caliper/fork bottom combination I would be very grateful.

First off, you need a bracket to fit RVF calipers. Second off, the same bracket will usually fit the gold calipers off CBR600RR3-4, SP1, SP2, CBR929-954, etc. The gold calipers are way way superior in performance and quality.
If you do go with the RVF calipers, then any 14mm master will do you. That's CBR900 92-97 for example, there are LOADS of other bikes using the same*. If you get gold calipers, you will need a 5/8"+ master cylinder, e.g. CBR900 98-99.
* Triumph Daytona 97-06 and Speed Triple 97-04, GSX-R600SRAD, and literally dozens of others, go to a breaker's and look through their stock.

You'll probably need custom brackets made up for the rvf calipers.doug wrote: If anyone knows where I can get hold of custom brackets for the above caliper/fork bottom combination I would be very grateful.
You'd be better off getting later calipers like amorti says, and buy some off the shelf adapter brackets from Rick Oliver or Graeme France.
You'll probably get a load more info in the cbr forum.

Cheers for the info guys.
I'll start looking for a master cylinders from an early cbr900 then speak to either Mr Oliver or Mr France about a bracket.
If I need more performance later I now know what else I need.
Thanks again

You'll need custom fabricated caliper brackets to fit the rvf calipers. You'll need to find someone who can make them (that's if the calipers fit at all - rvf calipers won't fit properly on nc30 forks for example).
Rick and Graeme sell brackets to fit the later 600rr etc calipers.

Cheers Cammo
I was initially hoping Graeme or Rick would be able to sell me some brackets but I was expecting to grovel to my friends who have access to a milling machine.
I'll try and post a drawing up when I get round to it.
