Hello All,
I'm running the brembo 65mm setup on a set of nc29 fork lowers but the adaptor plates are resulting in about 5% of the outer side of each brake pad not being used.
The effect being that as the pad wears there's a lip of untouched brake pad and the bigger this gets the less braking power you have as the lip is touching before the pad meets the disc.
I bought the adaptor plates on this forum but although they fit they are clearly the wrong shape. The lower mounting hole needs to be about 5mm closer to the fork to allow the caliper to apply all of the pad.
Any suggestions on where to buy more accurate adaptor plates?
cheers,
C

They're probably designed for bigger discs.

I'm running nc23 discs on nc29 wheels. Any idea what discs I could get that are bigger and will fit?
Cheers

I think (not sure!) that early blackbird discs would do the job. Fitment on early (carb) is different to late (injection). If I am right the PCD will be the same and they are 310mm diameter, so would make the disc about 7mm taller "into" the caliper. Not certain about offset, though.c7ll wrote:I'm running nc23 discs on nc29 wheels. Any idea what discs I could get that are bigger and will fit?

Why don't you just machine the section of pad material away that is not getting used.
5% is not that much of a loss. I have done this on some narrow band SBK Brembo discs that where used on a std 996 set-up. couldn't feel/tell the difference.

no worries I've managed to get a set of brackets that are the correct fit. The ones I had must be for bigger discs
