Hi all I've just fitted the rvf front end to my Vfr and wandering what is a good set up height for track use

HRC recomend 10mm drop through the yolks. I found this a little to aggresive for me so have opted for 5mm with 4 rings left of preload and 6 clicks back from full on the comp/rebound damping. you may want to stiffen the comp/rebound if you are on a bumpy track. :)

Sorry forgot to mention, it also depends on if you have raised the rear ride height too.

Awesome thanks for that, will it matter that the rvf triples are taller in the initial set up though than the Vfr?,
And yeah I'm using a 05 Cbr 600 rear shock to get her up in the air a bit!!

Hi Kinggy, not sure i understand what you mean about the triple clap being higher? Best thing to do is set the forks level with the top yolk, ride it and see how it feels. then raise them 10mm ride it (same road/track) see how it feels, drop them down so you have 5mm through and see how that feels. it is all down to how you like the bike to feel. for road riding i would stick with the fork tops level with the yolks, you are unlikely to need to turn really fast on the road.

I run mine level with top toke although the rear is pretty high too. It turns in quick enough for me but I do run a 70 profile front tyre too.
