I'd advise against the EBC Heavy Duty Plates - I've just fitted them and oh my lord they're heavy duty. Hard to pull off without stalling at first as they dip the revs so much! Wish I'd forked for race plates!

Hi Michael, I've fitted some EBC clutch plates this afternoon and been out for a two hour blast around the lanes afterwards, I have to say I think they are fantastic, good bite and loads of feel, think I paid about £50 for them. Jonny

that means they're working - surely thats the point of fitting new clutch plates. :wtf:

otherwise we'd all keep 20+ yr old plates that slip at the thought of touching the throttle :scare:

I use the oem rvf clutch pack with an extra spring. If the clutch is in good condition (fibers, steels and basket!) this setup can take a lot of punishment while still having good feel.

But it probably depends how much power your bike has Michael??

Perhaps Mike Norman (g-force) can advise what he uses with his 90+ hp motors?

Are you in fact talking about the springs here?

I use the EBC race plates in my road and race bikes, both with extra springs. They bite very well and they can be tough on the hands in town but for track work I find them great.

I use the EBC carbon kevlar race clutch as well, with the race 3 spring stack + 1 standard spring - i think its spot on & its get a lot of abuse.
