I'm intending to fit a "new" exhaust half system and end can to replace the original. After discussion on here the advice is don't cut the standard one as it's unusual to find an unbutchered one. So I won't.
I'm going to purchase a half system and can from a member on here at the end of the month and reading through good old haynes they reckon new gaskets should be used and its not easy to fit the half section on the bike and to remove it/refit it as a complete set (front pipes, rear pipes, collector).
Which raises a couple of questions:
Is this right?
What gaskets do I need and where to get them?
Ta, oh the joys of owning a 21 year old bike!!!
