New RVF fork spacer question :)

Post by ludacris » Fri Jun 10, 2011 3:53 pm

Just had new fork spacers made up for the new springs, wondering is it absolutely necessary to have drilled holes in the new spacers as there are in the originals? Cheers

The holes are for a workshop spring compresser tool, you will life harder for the next mechanic to work on your bike if there are no holes. But I guess you will know what I mean at assembly time....!

ok cool, thanks for the info. i've reassembled the forks...you can compress the spring just enough by hand to get a spanner onto the cartridge rod to hold it down...nevertheless i'll drill them in next time i'm doing an oil change
