RVF Rear shock
My nc30 appears to have a nc35 rear shock (Showa mr8 902).... Is this a good thing? Looks like it may have been reconditioned in the not so distant past. Was thinking of swapping to a cbr600 shock but it looks like it's already had some attention in that area. Every area infact, just realised it has Gilles rear sets too. Seller never told me that. As far as I know they don't make them for nc30s so must be off something else and made to fit. Anyway I've gone off on a tangent :) so yeah nc35 shock any good?

Re: RVF Rear shock
NC35 and type K model NC30 are poopy,
the best shock out of the standards is the type 3 (L model onwards) with the remote Res.
massive difference was noticed in comparision to my old K model shock.
from what i have learnt in my time here the NC35 shock is considered SHOCKING!

I don't think it's possible to refurb the nc35 shock, you can't dissasemble them.yazza54 wrote:My nc30 appears to have a nc35 rear shock (Showa mr8 902).... Is this a good thing? Looks like it may have been reconditioned in the not so distant past.
When worn out all you can do is throw it away!

Re: RVF Rear shock
another here, standard shock on the RVF was shite even when fresh. now they will all be well knackered and fit for the bin.
standard 35 forks are just as bad compared to the later 30 forks - but most care about the looks over anything else.
