it lives!

Pretty chuffed with myself. just finished putting the bike back together after doing valve clearances and a strip and re-build of the carbs with new jets. New oil, filter and coolant were also done at the same time.

Fired up on the third press of the starter and seems to be running very well. No leaks or funny noises and the engine seems to be revving responsively. God these things sound good when they're running.

on the downside i've mislaid the tank rubbers and the 2 bolts holding the trim strip that sits on the right hand side, running from the radiator cap down towards your shin (are these called infills?) and I need a few screws for the radiator fairing.

so once I get those sorted we're good to go.

Future jobs include the fork seals, new chain and head race bearing.

love it
