NC30 Emulstion Tubes and Needles

Post by porndoguk » Sat Apr 30, 2011 11:20 pm

so after taking out the washer i added to the needles, the bike is still running SHIT in the midrange between 4.5k and 6.5k miss firing/flooding

ive spoken with Rick O, who says not to remove the standard washer as its there to stop the needle rubbing the slide as with time the needle would lower its self naturally. does rick also do new emulsion tubes?

also he and a few other have suggested trying needles, and now another variable id over looked was the emulsion tubes, and the WORD ovaled was chucked into the equasion,

how do i go about measureing the emulsion tubes and needles what sizes should they be, and how far up the needle does it act for the midrange? needles i guess with a mic' but an emulsion is very small and verniers just arnt acurate enough. i want to get this sorted asap as its doing my head in.

Rick

well seeing as your being so charitable post them both over and i can just swap them and try also gonna DYNOJET 120s all round. sacking the 118 on the front, many people have suggested that i do so,

its clear from what i have learnt over the past 6months of so is no NC runs the same as an other,

how are your carbs set alex?

hmmm,

why the no snorkel, that will reduce turbulance surely thats not a good thing on these i thought venturis and vacuums prefered turbulance to get an even mixture of A/F?

Without the snorkel it runs good at high RPM so I've left it our for track days. Long road trips etc I will put it back in.

I run 120 dynojets and RO needles raised 0.5mm too. I have the snorkel and standard filter though and I'm running a tad rich. No flat spots though :-)
