Stock nc30 carbs

The bike is running great but the bogging at around 6k is annoying me, so I have taken the carbs off tonight and lo & behold everything is completely stock & installed correctly!
Pilot screws were a little, errm, screwed with 2.6; 2.3; 2.2 & 2.1 turns out, hopefully setting them all to 2 turns out will help the reluctance to hot starting.
Jets, emulsion tubes, needles & washers are all stock 'K' model stuff.
Here's my dilema (I know that you are all going to say get some washers/jets & do Cammo's documented mod....) but the bogging at 6k is far more noticeable when the bike is fully hot, much less so when cool - surely this indicates a rich mixture rather than lean?
It does feel like a rich bog too.
Any comments?
I'll do the mods anyway as it's the only way to find out
