NC29 H4 bulb conversion

Post by banoffee » Thu Apr 14, 2011 2:59 pm

Hello, new in this bit - I normally hang around in the V4 section.

Anyway, I did the H4 bulbs, relay etc mod to my NC30 and now have a customer NC29 that they'd like me to do the same to while it's in for other work.

Did a search but only came up with HID conversions. Can some kind soul point me to the NC29 info, assuming it's a similar relay mod to the NC30?

ithangyew

Hi, well I believe its basicly the same conversion. i done it myself last year but another member, Thundarace, gave me a slightly different method due to having no on/off switch for my bike I think.. Here is the post, Im sure there will be a bit help there.. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=21727

Technically speaking you are right LP if going by the title, but he did mention the relay mod info in his text.

BTW, this is a lot easier than all that dremel work, bend the h4 tabs back and add rings. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H4-Bulb-Adapter-R ... 3a6436c85d

when i read the thread title, my pic is what i thought, i did see the relay bit.
but thought id post that up anyways.

i know the shims work as well and with out moding the headlights. but at the time the shims were only available from the USA. + now i dont have to worry about any of the above as my bike has the relay mod which i no longer needed with HIDs fitted, but i have left the relay mod in place if i ever need to switch back to normal bulbs + permanent H4 holder.

I have a spare pair of converter rings for the H4 bulbs to fit the I4 35/60W fittings if anyone wants to purchase them? ;)

These:

Snap off the bottom two H4 lugs and fit this over the top, will fit the I4 fitting perfectly & no wobbly bulbs...
