Stick with standard mate, personal preference but ive never felt the need to gear a NC down for the road. Everyone ive had has reved out in 6th so cant really see the point when your doing mega miles like the cosford jolly.
-1 on the front is fun but my old RVF suffered badly in the tank range department, about 80 miles IIRC :o or was that just my riding :?
When i have both my RVF and NC30 going i'll be running +2 rear on the RVF and standard on the 30.
