Crash Protection

Post by syweeks » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:29 pm

Hi.

New to this forum, as in very.

I'm mid-way through a refurb of my late NC30, and loving the experience. I'm fairly ok with all the spanner weilding (I'm yet to attempt the valve shim checks and do some carb mods), but otherwise It's reintroducing me to my favourite toy.
However while I'm here, can I ask what people think about crash bobbins etc.
I was thinking about some R&G ones for the frame but this company make a set for the forks and frame for less than the R&G set Coyotemoto, this is there link; http://www.coyotemoto.com/
What do you all think???

I'm looking for all opinions , pros and cons and any sugestions as to what, where and who makes it.
Obviously cheaper is better but I'd like this to actually protect the bike in an off (I had one one my toy some years ago and I'd not want to repeat the experience, if not the pain, certainly the cost.... ;) ).

And if anybody can offer some ideas of essential mods, I'd be pleased to listen. If anybody knows if Rick Oliver is away then let me know as I'm having difficulty tracking him down at present.

Anyway look forward to any responces, regards for any help in advance.

Sy
