nc 35 fork seal changing

Post by skinnydog0_0 » Sat Mar 19, 2011 8:31 pm

Hi all,
I am going to change my fork seals next weekend, are there any time saving tips, or pitfalls i need to be aware of?
I had an off at mallory in Feb and the front wheel was pointing to 2 o'clock when it should have been straight :o the thing was i didn't realise this till after i had done 2 races the following weekend  We got the wheel pointing in the right direction for the last race, but the seals are now pissing out fluid, so i am a little concerned that the stanchions might be bent slightly or the internals may be bent a bit.
If this is the case, where is teh best place to get then sorted?
Cheers
An NC is for life, not just for Christmas!

to start off check the stanchions on flat surface glass table top etc is a good place to try,

im not clued up with the seals on the 35, but if its anythink like the 30, its pretty easy job,

its the removal of the old seal thats has been a bitch in the passed,
