As per title, cheers for having a peek.
I recently had an early rear shock from Kris, it was all good & had been rebuilt, which was nice.
The spring looked a bit turd on it, so i cut another knackered shock in 2 (it was rusted solid) & had the spring powder-coated.
Today, i went about taking the shock apart, got the old turd spring off, no problem but the shock had been painted (not by Kris) & was looking a little tatty, so i thought, "I'll paint that" not such a good idea!
The only way to get the thing apart was to pull the lower fork off, so i called a mate & he said "Yeah, thats easy, crack on" so i did, took the lower fork off & all the bastard oil has come out!
But @ least i got the chipped to buggery adjuster off.
Now, ive re-painted the shock in some nice 2pac & its looking nice again but my question is..................
Can i just re-fill the shock with oil from the lower stem which it came out of???
What oil does it use???
& how much does it need???
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
