Hi im looking for the tool to stop the fly wheel rotor from movin i try'd a block of wood and left it in gear but i still cant get it to stop moving whilst trying to take the center nut off to get to the genarator douse anyone no wot that toll is called to stop the fly wheel rotor from movin? thanks Clayton

DIY lads, only need a few strips of 4-5mm steel :)

i made one for a mate to get his sprocket off his GPZ900R

Or do what I do and use an airgun to shock the bolt loose...

Yer i did try to hold it with my left hand and have the socket in my right, but it kept slipping cos of the engine oil

thanks for the replys, banoffe ur a star! ive been searchin for theese tools every where maybe now i can fined out wether it is the genny

i just want to ask a question ive put in engin oill for the NC30 and its still cleare when i take the engin cover off should i replace the oil or just re use it? and i cant remember is the oil 10W40?

Are you draining the engine?
If you do, i would replace it with fresh, pointless skimping on £15+ quid for new oil only to find you feck your engine.
If you are not draining the oil, and it looks good and has had little use i would re-use it.

If you're on the side stand you shouldn't loose much oil when you take the genny cover off, just a couple of drops really.
I've made a tool to hold it in place too, happy to lend it out if you're close enough to pick up?!

(I can't see the ebay link, so if it's cheap enough, that's probably the way to go.)

I got one of those (same as on the ebay link) and it worked a treat. cheap enough to not bother making your own IMHO
