Re: NC30 only starts with clutch in?
Can't quite remember but do nc30's only start in neutral OR other gears if the clutch lever is pulled in?
Maybe your neutral switch is faulty.
You could always connect the wires going to the clutch switch so that it is always 'in'.

IIRC nc's wont start in gear unless you pull the clutch in therefore your neutral switch might be playing up hence you cdi always thinks the bike is in gear.

I had the same on my old Fireblade, and I guess the nc30 loom is the same so here goes:
Have a look on your wiring diagram (you do have one, right

On the Fireblade the fault was unfortunately hidden quite well within the loom. Time for a sesh with the multi-meter!

You need to replace clutch diode. Located between reg rec and cdi on same side.
