my bike makes gurgling/bubbling sounds when I let off the gas at high rpms or when i engine brake.
What causes this and how do I fix it? Is it really a big issue or normal? Thanks!
i was riding a two stroke before my nc-35 so its somewhat new to me

Not normal....
Have you jetwashed the bike recently? Did you cover the end of the exhaust?

Re: gurgling sound when dethrottling
my fireblade made this noise when i just close the throttle around 8 - 9k after i took the power commander off, i have put it down to 'poor' fueling. I have removed the exhaust valve, have a half system with very free flowing can, race filter and no air box flap.
with the power commander on this noise does not happen, with it off it happens so im guessing its a fueling issue. are you running a race can / filter etc have you jetted to suit?

I was hinting your exhaust may have water in it, usually after washing/small children/both, lolniteblade wrote:veefer400 wrote:Not normal....

Re: gurgling sound when dethrottling
It's thik it's usually just excess fuel getting through the carbs and being burnt in the cylinders. Could be because the pilot screws are not adjusted correctly or the carbs out of balance. If you can live with it it's no big deal.niteblade wrote:my bike makes gurgling/bubbling sounds when I let off the gas at high rpms or when i engine brake.

One of the advantages that EFI has over carbs is that no fuel is delivered to the engine under decelleration so you don't get these symptoms.
