coppied from for sale section as i could do with a quick fire answer before i return to the freezing garage!

just reffited filled the bike with coolant etc, the temp guage goes way up to the red part of the guage / H after 10 mins of idleing - and the fan doesnt kick in, ive shorted the cable from the switch to the frame and the fan comes on so ive proven the circuit is live etc,

what temprature does the switch kick in at?

im gonna grab my multimeter, and test on the rad a spade terminal. and run the temp up,

ive learned another lesson today.

the nc30 really is like a lesson of education.

dickhead here has had all his radiator brackets and fan etc Powder coated but what i failed to do was grind some PC off so that the brackets have some continuity with the frame,

and also connect the earth lead to the fan and not to the frame!

so the problem was no continuity to the rad switch and not the switch after all so that would suggest its over heating!

lesson learnt today!
