 Lol I did!

The restrictors need to go UNDER the carbs - they sit inside the inlet rubbers. Push them in as far as they will go.

Your second picture is indeed the radiator pressure cap. Well...you have the cap right?

Your last picture is the engine breather - hot air and oil vapour vents from the valve cover to inside the airbox so it will get a bit oily in there.

Yes there are - jubilee clips.

Dude if I may... you are showing potential to be one of those young owners who learns spannering on his 400. Nothing wrong with that, but be aware you should always exercise more caution than enthusiasm when fiddling with things you don't understand yet.

Make sure you take the carbs off the rubbers, don't take the rubbers off the engine with the carbs.

i took it all apart and got it like this

i found it rather hard to get the carbs out the rubbers.. i knew it wouldnt be a loose fit but feck me, it took alot of wiggling and jiggling to get the free.

i finally put them in, are they correct here?

Yep that's right, make sure they're pushed all the way in otherwise the carbs won't go back on properly.

Not sure if you have, but I tend to take the plate off of the carbs before removing the carbs. Carbs should come off fairly easily by rocking them backwards and forwards, provided you've loosened the upper inlet rubber fasteners enough.

That poor engine being restricted :(

When the time comes to take them out you will have so much more enjoyment from your bike!
