Widest tyre to fit a NC35 rim
What would be the widest tyre you could fit a NC35 rim?

160/60
It is a 4.5 inch rim...any wider and you'll be rubbing the chain and make it handle shit..

Thank you
Any tyres you would recommend for road use?

for 400's probably the most accepted option is the Bridgestone BT090, but I've heard good things about Conti Road/Sport Attacks, mate had a set on his CBR6, lasted forever, and when he had it on a track said they were very good for warming up fast and giving good grip :)

I've seen a 180/55 on the back of an rvf but I wouldn't recommend it, 160/60 is plenty and I run super corsa pro's but only when it's dry......
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

So, is the consensus that if you run a 160/60 you need to also run 520 chain/sprockets?

Same topic but slightly different sorry
I have noticed that dunlop have a wet rear thats a 165. Do you reckon this would fit? The 160 i have is pretty close to the chain already.
Also am i right in thinking that the difference between a 160 and a 165 is 5mm? making 2.5mm extra width each side?
Cheers

They are nominal dimensions, my 180s are 178mm [super corsa pro] and 182mm [hi sport] .
A friend used 2 of the same type Bridgestones a while ago and found different batch/tyre moulds were a few mm different in widths,
Dave.

165 will fit for wets - the Oz massive run 165 slicks so get them sorted.
