Hi all,
Is it worth doing? I'm really interested if anyone has tried it here and noticed a performance gain.
Ta!

What performance gain do you expect from 400cc ? I don't ever think you will get 0.5Bhp or 0.005Bhp :)))

Wrapping the headers keeps the heat in the pipes and doesn't let it radiate to surrounding components, like the radiator and engine. I have heard of people having problems with Ducatis with wrapped headers. It lets too much heat into the exhaust (Termignoni) and blowing out the packing.

Wrapping headers aids performance by reducing heat loss from the exhaust gases to maintain higher velocity. This is what titanium headers do over stainless steel ones.
I doubt you'd 'notice' the performance gain but it may be worth it on a race bike on a performance:weight basis.

Improved scavenging - the hot gases find it easier to flow into hot pipes rather than warm ones in a like-for-like situation.... also popular on cars to reduce underbonnet temperatures?

I'm going to wrap my NC23's headers as soon as I get spare funds to do so...

Couldnt tell you a thing about the performance aspects, but a well wrapped set of headers is just about full on art!!!

Altho to be really fussy, I do prefer white wrap over black

Performance gains....even if there were any you wouldn't notice it.

And it looks a bit shit..

Absolutelly agree. There is no performance gains. Better to spend this money for suspenssion or ligther wheel. It really increase handling... and you would notice it
