Ive just replaced my brake lines for some braided numbers and have had a right nightmare. First when it came to bleeding, the dual banjo fitting was leaking, so i replaced the 3x copper washers and tried again. When i was bleeding brakes there was aload of air coming out and i must of used around 1ltr of fluid in the process. problem is now the brake lever still feels a bit 'spongy'. the lines surely cant have anymore air in? if so, could air be getting in anywhere? help please cos im f****ng sick.

I did my CBR400 with new lines in around 15 to 20 minutes with one of these type of kits. I have used it numerous times on other bikes. Makes bleeding brakes sooooooo much easier!!!!! It does draw a lot of fluid through. What is drawn through, as long as it's clean i put into a container and reuse after allowing the air to rise out of it all.

As long as everything is tight, reservoir topped up and not allowed to empty, bleed nipple is closed each time you release the lever then air shouldn't be getting in.

I just use 2 lengths of airline from an aquatic shop & a large jamjar for the front brakes, as long as the airlines in the jamjar are under brake fluid air shouldnt get back in & like Lucas said the flow through can be used again once youve left it 12-24hrs.

brakes sorted now

after several hours yesterday to no avail, i left the front brake lever cable tied back overnight. checked this afternoon and lever is now very firm and brakes are 100% amazing.
disaster avoided.
