How to Polish new tyga system?

Just got my new system and even though it was bubble wrapped and packaged well, it already has light scratches on it, and doesn't quite look how it was pictured on the Tyga website.. Should I bother polishing it? Will it make a big difference? Is there anything that will protect it from getting any further scratches?
Cheers

I fitted my twin stack about 2 weeks ago and I didn't do anything to the pipes. I don't think ppl will be looking at the pipes. I would say they would be more interested in your cans and sound

Scotch Brite scouring pad is all you need. Don't polish it, keep it as a brushed effect.

Yeah true, but I'd like a nice shiny polish finish if possible :) Is Autoglym Polish any good? Also, would I have to sand down the surface first or not?

It'll be more effort than its worth mate. They'll get dirty and lose shine quickly and you'll find yourself spending more time polishing than riding the thing.

Also, inside the headers there are tiny fragments of metal.. I was thinking about immersing them all under water in order to get rid of these fragments to eliminate risks of this stuff getting into the engine.. Is this a good idea?

Are the fragments of metal loose? If they are, then they'll probably get blown out the exhaust when you run the bike. If they're not loose, don't bother, because if they do come loose they'll still probably get blown out the exhaust.

Don't polish it. As said above if your really fussed about the scratches then bust out the scotch brite pads.

Yeah mate, they're loose. I won't bother washing them then.. Why is everyone so against polishing it though?

I'll only polish it once to get some nice pics, after that I definitely won't be taking it off again to polish it..
There's no harm in spending $25 on some Autoglym polish and giving it a good once over is there? Is there a better product for the job? Will I need to go over it with anything before I polish it?
Thanks guys
