LED indicator relay problem, my brains going to explode!!

Ok, so got new indicator bulbs for my bike, obviously they flash too fast when on, so went to local bike shop for an led relay.
They couldnt find one that was 3 pin they were all either two pin or 4 pin. nothing that would plug straight into the NC's plug.
Only thing they could suggest was a generic led relay (3 pin) brought that home and tried it, nowt, wouldnt flash, wouldnt do sod all!
pin B on the relay to live, pin E to earth and pin L to indicator switch, absolutely sweet fa happening, arghh!!!
Can anyone help with any ideas to solve this bloody relay problem??
Thanks
Graham

I've got a universal on my Hornet that has 3 pins and is wired as you describe and that works fine. All the LED relay does is increase resistance. Check the range the relay covers. Too much resistance?

I think Mananon is onto it.

If the relay doesn't work for your setup then you might to exchange it for one that does (assuming you have it all hooked up correctly - sounds like you do). Which wire are you using for the indicator load (L)? I hooked this up to one of the rear indicator bullet connectors (that sees the intermittent voltage when the indicator is on).

I went through quite a few headaches converting my nc30 to led indicators, the electronic relay worked, the faults were in the design of the standard wiring system.

Mine works on a timer (on/off cycle), not load dependent like the standard flasher relay.

What sort is your Graham? Link or pics?

Ok, so I have an update!
Took the relay back and exchanged it for another one, success! Sort of!
They flash now but all together, all 4 of them, with the dash light flashing very dimly.

Arghh!, its an improvement, I've always wanted hazard lights!!

Any ideas anyone??

Aha, think this might be the dash bulb problem, will try cammo's idea!

Yep, disconnected the idiot light and they work fine!

Just need to get hold of some of those diodes to sort the idiot light out and jobs a goodun!
